SARA 2012 J-3 Age Class

Championship and Post Season Events

Sara State Team Selection Process

SARA athletes can earn points prior to SARA Championships at designated qualifier races held at Snowshoe and Timberline in the 2012 SARA season. Both race events will hold 2 runs of slalom and 2 runs of GS for a total 8 runs. Of these 8 runs, SARA will select the top 4 runs for each athlete and award points according to finish place of each run. Using the “Old” World Cup points system, points will be awarded to the top 15 place finishes, per gender, according to the table* below.  Maximum points that can be earned prior to championships are 100.

2012 SARA Championships, held at Sugar, will consist of 4 runs of slalom and 2 runs of GS. Of the 6 total runs, SARA will select the top 4 runs of each athlete and award points according to finish place of each run. Maximum points that can be earned at Championships will be 100.

Qualifier points and Championship points will be combined to select the 2012 J-3 SARA State Team. The SARA J-3 State Team consists of the top 5 ladies and top 5 men of the season.  Maximum State team points that can be earned are 200.
